Jamie is a highly experienced mental health clinician, having worked in the area for many years. In his career to date, Jamie has had opportunity to work in a wide range of clinical settings working with different age groups. These have included the Emergency Department, a community health clinic, a residential mental health facility and even outreach clinics in council parks. These experiences have helped to shape Jamie into the clinician he is today.
To support these experiences, Jamie has completed extensive university education. Moreover, in recognition of his knowledge and experience Jamie is employed as a tutor at the University of Southern Queensland. This provides Jamie an opportunity to shape the clinicians of the future.
Jamie’s goal is to support his patients to better health and to improve their overall wellbeing and circumstance. When working with patients, Jamie provides both health education and psycho-education. This education, coupled with risk assessments, allows Jamie to incorporate his patients in the decision-making process.
When he’s not working, Jamie enjoys exploring the outdoors including going for walks and biking.
