In her years of clinical practice, Rebekah has worked with mental health patients of all ages and backgrounds – from childhood, to adolescents, through to adults. Additionally, she has worked in a range of clinical settings: hospital, community health clinics and residential facilities. This experience has been invaluable to provide Rebekah with the breadth and depth of knowledge she now has.
Rebekah is passionate about providing the latest Evidence Based Practice whilst working with her patients. Rebekah strongly believes it is essential to put her patient’s needs first. During treatment, Rebekah employs a range of screening tools (observations, pathology, RCADS, DASS-21, etc) to indicate potential diagnosis, as well as risk assessment and safety planning.
Whilst treating patients, Rebekah employs a mixed pharmacological and psychotherapy model of care, employing methods such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy, deep breathing, and muscle relaxation. Additionally, Rebekah believes in the power of educating her patients providing ongoing health and psycho-education to her patients. This sometimes includes employing the patient’s family and friends to support the individual on their path to better health and wellbeing.
Outside of work, Rebekah enjoys spending time with her family, going on camping holidays and trying out new cafes/restaurants!
